New round of negotiations in the United States and Iran
The third round of negotiations between representatives of Iran and the United States on the Iranian nuclear program was carried out in Maskat, the capital of Oman. The meeting ended with an agreement on the continuation of the dialogue and the discussion of the plans to carry out another round of negotiations at a high level in the next weekend.

American representative Steve Vitkoff and Foreign Minister, Iran Abbas Aragchi, exchanged written initiatives and announced the constructive and serious progress of negotiations. The Foreign Minister of Oman Badr Al-Busidi emphasized that the United States and Iran described a common goal to develop an agreement based on mutual respect and long-term guarantees.
The negotiations in the Maskat were the first meeting, where the parties discussed in detail the technical aspects of a possible nuclear agreement. The United States aims to restrict the Iranian nuclear program, while Tehran insists on the complete removal of sanctions.
It is known that the US delegation led by Steve Witkoff remains in the region. In the near future, meetings with representatives of the US authorities are planned on the eve of Donald Trump’s visit, scheduled for mid -May.
